Students participating in Integrative Learning Communities (ILCs) enroll in the same First Year Seminar while participating in hands-on experiential learning made possible through the collaboration of the Center for Service Learning, the Outdoor Adventure Program, Student Housing and Residential Engagement, and the Office of the First Year Experience.
All interested students (those who plan to commute as well as those who plan to live on campus) apply to participate in these communities through the housing portal. After applying, students will receive follow up information about the acceptance process and about enrollment in the First Year Seminars connected with the Magis Community to which they have applied.

Magis focuses on leadership, service, and community building. These students participate in a weekly, year-long academic course for credit and participate in community service. The Magis experience provides a close-knit community for students to discuss and examine their own experiences as well as the Jesuit values.
