The Ranger Ready and Follett ACCESS programs have been suspended beginning Summer 2026. As a result, students will no longer be charged a course materials fee and will be responsible for purchasing their course materials. Course materials can be purchased at regisstore.com.
What is changing?
The Ranger Ready and Follett ACCESS programs have been suspended. Students will now need to purchase their course materials independently.
Why is this change happening?
This change allows Regis to manage rising program costs while providing students with more options to access course materials, including through the Regis Bookstore and other purchasing options.
How do I get my books now?
Purchase your course materials via the Regis Bookstore at regisstore.com. You can find course materials for individual classes or select all materials using your Regis ID.
We recommend using the Regis Bookstore because it:
When should I buy my materials?
As soon as you have your schedule finalized, or in time for your first day of class.
Will this cost more or less?
Students will now purchase materials separately, so costs will vary depending on course requirements and the options students choose.
In many cases, students may be able to reduce costs by:
This change provides greater flexibility and transparency, allowing students to make decisions based on their individual preferences and budgets.
Can I still use financial aid?
Yes, if your financial aid, including grants, scholarships and loans, exceeds the cost of your tuition, fees and other charges for the semester, you can use your financial aid to help purchase your books. You can apply for a book voucher through the Office of Student Accounts under the Student Finance section of the Ranger Portal under the Helpful Links section on the Account Summary page.
Visit our Receiving Refunds page to learn more about the disbursment process.
What if I add or drop a class?
If you add or drop a class, you will need to manage your course materials directly, based on your updated schedule.
If you purchase your materials from the Regis Bookstore:
If you purchase your materials from other retailers, contact them for their return policies. We recommend waiting until your schedule is finalized before purchasing materials, when possible.
What if I can't afford materials?
When you can, prioritize renting, buying used or accessing digital versions. Also, be sure to check with the team at Dayton Memorial Library to see if your course materials are available to borrow.
Am I still being charged a course material fee?
No. You will not be charged a course material fee while the program is suspended.
Will the Ranger Ready and/or Follett ACCESS programs be reinstated?
Regis University will continue to evaluate course-material models for future academic years based on student needs, program effectiveness, and overall sustainability. Any updates or future decisions will be communicated to students and faculty before upcoming terms.
Is my tuition lower now that it does not include the cost of textbooks?
In previous years, tuition typically increased annually, so maintaining flat tuition reflects an effort to manage overall student costs during this transition. Visit the relevant Cost of Attendance page for details about your tuition costs.
