Student Coverage

All required students must visit the Wellfleet website to enroll in the Regis University Student Health Insurance Plan, or waive this coverage and provide proof of alternate, comparable health insurance coverage. Comparable health insurance coverage must be ACA compliant (not ACA comparable) and must be issued by a US-based insurance company. Insurance or plans not accepted: Out-of-State Medicaid, Out-of-State HMO Insurance, and Ministry/Cost Share plans. If students choose to waive the University plan, they must do so before their first term and every subsequent fall.

International students must have Academic Emergency Services (AES) coverage, which includes travel-related emergencies, medivac and repatriation. This is a requirement on the insurance policy.

If a student fails to waive coverage by the appropriate deadlines, that student will be enrolled in the University’s student health insurance plan. Students must waive coverage to remove the fee that is automatically billed on their student accounts. If you have any questions, please email ship@regis.edu.

The deadline to waive coverage for the Fall 2025 semester is Sept. 2.
