Speaker: Dr. David Mirich, Clinical Psychologist
Description: David Mirich, Ph.D., will present on the psychological ramifications of serial killers. Additionally, Dr. Mirich will provide attendees with the opportunity to test Robert Hare’s “Psychopathy Check List,” a diagnostic tool that rates a person’s psychopathic propensity.

Speaker: Lt. Jon Priest, Homicide Detective (Retired)
Description: During a 30-year career with the Denver Police Department, Jon Priest investigated hundreds of homicides. He will provide a case study on a sexual homicide offender in Denver. This presentation demonstrates the many complications inherent in a homicide investigation.
Prostitutes: Victims of Sexual Serial Killers

Speaker: Dr. Don Lindley, Professor of Criminology
Description: The reality of prostitution is grave and, more often than not, deadly. In this presentation, Dr. Lindley, who worked for many years in the Denver Police Department’s Vice Squad, will present insights into this criminal behavior and how the results can be lethal for most of those involved.

Description: Mitch Morrissey is a retired Denver District Attorney who will present homicide case studies in which DNA resulted in both convictions and the proven innocence of suspected offenders.

Description: Elizabeth Ortiz, a death investigator for Arapahoe County, will present on the homicides she has covered. Her work includes difficult-to-solve cases.
