March 18, 2019

Regis University presents the Denver City Council District 1 Candidate Forum at its Northwest Denver Campus at 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Mountain View Center at St. Peter Claver, S.J., Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

All seven candidates for the District 1 seat will attend. They are Victoria Aguilar, Sabrina D’Agosta, Scott Durrah, Prajwal Kulkarni, David Sabados, Amanda Sandoval and Mike Somma.

Candidates will answer questions and share their visions for the future of District 1 during a panel discussion moderated by Dominic Dezzutti, RC ’94, host of Colorado Public Television’s “Colorado Inside Out.”

“I'm thrilled that Regis University is opening its doors to continue a long tradition of dialogue on important issues,” said Jenna Farley, community liaison at Regis.

Members from several neighborhood groups, including from Berkeley, Regis, Highlands, Chaffee Park and Sunnyside, will attend the forum, as will representatives of several public libraries and the Democratic Party of Denver.

"Being engaged in the issues facing our city government gives citizens a voice in local politics,” Farley said. “We have the opportunity to shape policies that impact our daily lives.”

The Northwest Denver Campus is located at 3333 Regis Blvd. Parking is available in Lower Lot 4, which is accessed from Lowell Blvd. near W. 52nd Ave. There is a small parking fee.
