I believe the learning environment should be interactive, respectful, caring, and reflective. In my classes, I incorporate many of the Jesuit values including Cura Personalis through my one-on-one interactions with my students both inside and outside the learning environment. I encourage Contemplatives in Action by taking time to stop throughout our learning in order to acknowledge what we have learned in order to truly reflect upon what this means to our lives and practice. I utilize Magis in my service to the nursing profession and my community, which I share with my students during our discussions and in service together.  I follow a constructivist approach to learning and see learners as constructing their own understanding of material through their interaction with the topics. As a faculty member, I am committed to being engaged with my students to foster a positive learning experience.
