Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Community | CAE

You will gain useful cybersecurity and information assurance skills, including network and computer forensics, offensive cybersecurity, and malware analysis and response. Regis is also designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In 2018, Regis received a U.S. government grant of nearly $1 million to focus on cybersecurity and develop an innovative curriculum that has since been applied across the country.

Student outcomes include:

  • Analyze real-world cyber security issues and how to apply best practices of cyber security incident response to help identify potential solutions.
  • Recognize the design, implementation, and evaluation of basic and practical computer and network forensics skills that are used in today’s cyber security industry.
  • Apply cyber security principles and practices to understand the practical aspects of enterprise and physical security, disaster-recovery planning, and business continuity planning.
