Are you a deep thinker with effective writing skills and a passion for people? Are you interested in analyzing human behavior and cultural norms? If so, you may be interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts.

In the visual arts program at Regis University, students establish a firm basis in design, art history, and criticism while pursuing technical proficiency. This prepares students for the practice of art and grounds their knowledge in experience and first-hand problem-solving. The Visual Arts major prepares students for jobs in a wide field of options, including publications, public relations, graphic design, and others. The Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts is also excellent preparation for graduate programs in Fine Arts.

Visual Arts Career Paths

Visual Designer

Visual designers bring art to life in commercial contexts though focusing on color balance, brand image and the aesthetics of a design.


Fine Artist

Explore different artistic techniques such as painting, sculpture, drawing and mixed media arts to communicate visual ideas and concepts.


Art Educator

Work in school or community settings to teach students of all ages the princples of art and art history and help them express their own artistic visions.

How to Apply

To apply to the B.A. Visual Arts program, you will need: 

  • Completed online application
  • Official high school transcripts with a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • ACT/SAT test scores 
  • Essay
  • One letter of recommendation

The first step in the application process is to contact an admissions counselor, who can help you through the entire application process, evaluate your prior learning credit (AP, IB, etc.) and provide information regarding financial aid and tuition assistance.

Tuition and Fees

Full-time tuition: $37,830/year (fall and spring semesters)
Part time (less than 12 credit hours per semester): $1,261/credit hour
