Application Process and Timeline
Step 1:
Submit Your Application
Our School of Mental and Behavioral Health programs are offered three times a year, with a Fall, Spring and Summer start. Each of our start terms have a priority and final application deadline. Regardless of the deadline you choose to pursue, it will not have an impact on your admissions decision. Admissions decisions are based on your application, submitted supplemental items and your faculty interview. Below are the next start terms with application deadlines:
Spring Term
Classes start in January
Applications accepted August through November
Summer Term
Classes start in May
Applications accepted January through April
Fall Term
Classes start in August
Applications accepted May through July
Step 2:
Admissions Interview
Upon submission of your application and all supplemental items, your application will be carefully considered based on the materials received. Qualified candidates will be invited to participate in an Interview Day within two weeks of the application deadline for each admissions cycle. Interview Days consist of small group discussions with faculty, a role-play activity and a reflection essay.
Step 3:
Experience Mountain Time
Take a spin through Denver and see why U.S. News & World Report ranked it the #2 place to live in 2020. There’s a lot to see, so take a little time to check out the mountains, 42 parks, over 100 craft breweries, and all the eclectic arts districts of the Mile-High City. Or, if you’re thinking about where to live while you’re at Regis, it’s never too early to learn more about Denver’s neighborhoods.
Preparing for Your Interview
Your resume can only get you so far. Now is the time to let your personality do its part.
Our Admissions Interview Day will help you determine if Regis is right for you – we really want this to be the perfect fit. It also lets faculty determine which candidates are a good fit for us, and gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into the Regis experience.
Check-in for your interview day typically starts at 10 a.m. MT. The morning will start off with a welcome message from the Associate Dean of the School of Mental and Behavioral Health, followed by faculty introductions, group interviews and a role-play activity. Students will then complete a reflection essay. After the interview, there will be the opportunity for a Q&A session with our faculty. Expect your day to wrap up by noon.
- Be yourself. No need to “act the part.” Just be yourself and see if Regis moves to the same beat that you do.
- Dress the part. Dress professionally. As with any interview, your attire is part of making the best first impression.
- Mountain Time. We run on Mountain Time. Adjust your sleeping schedule accordingly.
- Test your technology. Make sure your computer, laptop, tablet or other device you'll use to communicate is working properly before your virtual interview.
