Erica Ingalls named Dean of Students

ingalls-162x211.pngErica Munguia Ingalls, dean of students at Front Range Community College (FRCC), has been named the new Associate Vice President and Dean of Students, Vice President for Student Affairs Barbara Wilcots has announced. Ingalls will begin at Regis on Aug. 7.

As the chief student affairs officer at FRCC, Ingalls oversaw Admissions and Outreach, Pathways Advising, Testing, Disability Support Services, Military/Veterans Advising, Student Life, Student CARE/Conduct, TRIO Student Support Services, and TRIO Upward Bound.  She also has served on its Hispanic Serving Institute Committee, working with HSIs across the country to study best practices and current trends in recruitment and retention efforts.  Ingalls was previously director of the Pathways Advising & Career Center and assistant director of Academic Advising & Retention Services at the college, which as three campuses in the Denver metro area. Her 17-year career in higher education also includes academic advising and student affairs positions at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU). 

Ingalls has Bachelor of Science degree in business management with a certificate in Spanish from MSU and a Master of Arts degree in higher education and administrative leadership from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.  She expects to complete a doctorate of education in educational equity from the University of Colorado at Denver in December 2023.
