Andy Anderson’s record-setting gift ignited the success of the Manifest Magis campaign
Dear Regis Community,
With gratitude and pride, I’m pleased to share that Manifest Magis, the most ambitious fundraising campaign in Regis University’s history, has come to a close, raising more than $131 million from 87,000 gifts from donors across the country.
This success would not have been possible without the extraordinary leadership and generosity of Andy Anderson, a Regis alumnus, trustee and co-chair of the campaign. Andy’s belief in the power of a Jesuit Catholic education and his desire to ensure that power continues to transform lives helped set the course for the success that followed.
In 2018, Andy made a landmark $10 million gift to establish the Anderson College of Business & Computing. It was the most significant gift of the Manifest Magis campaign and in Regis University’s history. More than a personal contribution, it was a call to action – a signal to our community and the world that Regis University was ready to lead with purpose and to innovate boldly in service of others. "Looking at the world through the Jesuit eye has always brought me good outcomes," Andy said. "It’s all about doing the right thing and doing for others."
Anderson College now stands as a living legacy of that vision. It prepares future business and technology leaders through a values-based, forward-looking curriculum that addresses the real challenges of our time. It reflects Andy’s belief that ethical leadership and entrepreneurial thinking can and must coexist.
Throughout the campaign, Andy remained a source of steady, hopeful leadership. As co-chair of Manifest Magis, he partnered with Derek Scarth, Chair of the Regis University Board of Trustees, to guide the campaign through each phase. Together, they helped build momentum and inspired others to join them in lifting Regis University. Most recently, Andy and Derek made a $100,000 challenge gift to the President’s Innovation Fund, matching the first ten $10,000 contributions to spark continued investment in Regis’s future.
"The consistency of the Jesuit mission is what stuck with me most," Andy shared. "It was present in every class, every professor, every part of campus life. That foundation stayed with me through my business career and in how I raise my children. Regis shaped not just what I know, but who I am." Andy Anderson is many things: a business leader, a donor, a trustee. But to Regis University, he is much more. He is a living example of what it means to live a purpose-driven life rooted in faith, generosity, and action.
Andy, on behalf of the Regis University community, we say thank you. You have helped shape this institution in profound and enduring ways. Your legacy will live on in every student who walks through the doors of the college that bears your name.
With deep appreciation.
Kindly,
Salvador D. Aceves, Ed.D.
