Jesuit Colleges Launch National Campaign to Showcase Value of Jesuit Education

Regis University Joins 27 Member Schools in Collaborative Effort

DENVER – Regis University is joining 27 Jesuit colleges and universities across the United States, Belize and Canada in a new collaborative campaign to promote the values and benefits of Jesuit higher education.

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) launched the #JesuitEducated campaign this winter, coinciding with National Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 25-31. The initiative features a new website, JesuitEducated.com, and video series designed to help prospective students, parents and guidance counselors explore Jesuit higher education options.

"This campaign represents a unique opportunity to showcase what makes Jesuit education distinctive," said Deanna Howes Spiro, vice-president of communications with the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.

"At Regis University, we're proud to be part of this 500-year-old tradition that prepares students to lead lives of purpose and service," said Rev. D. Scott Hendrickson, S.J., interim president of Regis University.

The website features profiles of all 28 member institutions, including Regis University, along with a comprehensive map, information on upcoming Jesuit college fairs at high schools nationwide and firsthand perspectives from graduates who share how Jesuit values have shaped their professional and personal lives.

The campaign will engage audiences through social media and digital advertising ahead of spring open houses and college recruitment fairs. It builds on research commissioned by AJCU to understand public perceptions of Jesuit values and develop consistent messaging strategies. More than 2 million people worldwide are alumni of U.S. Jesuit colleges and universities. Founded on the academic tradition of St. Ignatius Loyola, Jesuit education emphasizes critical thinking, leadership, academic excellence and scholarship while shaping students "for and with others."
