ABET-Accredited Computing Programs

Accreditation assures academic quality in higher education. Program-specific accreditation indicates to students that the quality of an academic program meets a standard set by industry in cooperation with academic institutions. Accreditation is a voluntary, peer-review process that requires programs to undergo comprehensive periodic evaluations. The evaluation, conducted by professionals in the industry, examines curriculum, faculty, institutional support, facilities and more.

Accreditation with the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, the recognized accreditor of college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and technology demonstrates a program’s commitment to providing its students with a high-quality education. About 1,300 schools nationwide offer computing programs, but Regis is one of just 308 that offers accredited programs in this discipline. Furthermore, Regis is one of just eight institutions nationwide to offer those accredited programs 100 percent online.
