Learning Objectives
  • Student will develop an awareness of their own strengths and areas of growth and be able to identify and take steps to build skills in those areas.
  • Student will develop their skills in gathering and analyzing career information to assist them in discernment.
  • Student will develop their skills in communicating, listening, and teamwork.
  • Student will build cultural competence and understand how diversity, equity, and inclusion affect their work and study.
Vision Statement

To develop students’ abilities of career discernment, grow career competencies, and encourage them to enter into a network of peers and mentors through the help and guidance of the Center for Career and Professional Development, employers, and alumni.

Requirements

  • Complete 2 Career Counseling Appointments with a Career Counselor (Start of the program and at the end)
  • Attend 6 Career Development workshops (Exploration, Networking, Professional Documents, Job Search, Interviewing, Negotiating)
  • Conduct an Informational Interview
  • Complete a paid 20-hour Micro internship
  • Attend Ceremony and Networking Event
