Regis Ready event helps prepare the University’s newest students for their first semester
Preparing for the beginning of the semester is a big task for any college student — especially for the first time. Luckily for Regis’ incoming students, it's never too early to get started.
On Friday, June 13, Regis’ newest students and their families were invited to campus for a Regis Ready event to ensure they’re prepared for New Student Orientation and the semester ahead.
J.T. Smith, Associate Vice President and Dean of Admissions, shared what students can expect from Regis Ready and how Regis staff are there in person to support them throughout their transition to college.
“Regis Ready is a unique opportunity for our incoming students to complete everything needed to start classes here in the fall,” said Smith. “They can meet with an advisor, register for classes, talk to Financial Aid, attend our resource fair and meet other incoming students. It’s a ‘one-stop shop’ to ensure you’re ready for your Regis experience!"
Regis Ready is not only essential for incoming students, but the event facilitates some of a student’s first connections with Regis’ campus, staff and services. Alongside advising and course registration, attendees are free to explore Regis’ campus and connect with the community.
Kylie Stutter, an incoming freshman, shared what she’s most looking forward to this semester. She is excited to be part of an academic, Jesuit community and to begin working towards her degree, which both depend on a strong start at Regis Ready.
More than 100 guests are already registered — don’t miss out on the next Regis Ready event on July 18! Alongside other services, individualized fall semester bill review will be available at this event.
Make sure to bring a valid ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) and any additional documents for financial aid or admissions.
