Welcome to the Office of the Provost.

At Regis University, our Jesuit Catholic mission calls us to educate the whole person and to prepare students to engage a complex and changing world with knowledge, purpose and a commitment to something larger than themselves. That work takes place through exceptional teaching and learning, meaningful relationships and a community willing to ask difficult questions in pursuit of the greater good.

The Office of the Provost provides leadership for the University’s academic enterprise and student experience. Our responsibility is both straightforward and ambitious: to create the conditions in which students can flourish, faculty and staff can do their best work and Regis can deliver an excellent and transformative education for every student we serve.

Doing that well requires us to hold several things together. We must honor the traditions and strengths that make Regis distinctive while remaining willing to adapt to a changing world. We must pursue academic excellence while practicing cura personalis, care for the whole person. And we must pair compassion and accompaniment with clarity, accountability and responsible stewardship of the University entrusted to us.

These are not competing commitments; they are part of what it means to be a Jesuit university. Ignatian discernment asks us to pay careful attention to where we are, to listen generously to one another and then to act with purpose. That spirit guides our work across Academic and Student Affairs as we seek not simply to respond to the challenges facing higher education, but to help students answer the question, “How ought we to live?”
