Where will I be staying?
Students have the option to stay on-campus with a current student host, in a room block at a discounted price, or make their own accommodations. Here’s a few notes about each option:
On-campus: Students opting to stay on-campus with a student host will most likely be “roughing it” on the residence hall floor. It’s wise to bring along a sleeping bag, sleeping pad (if you have one!), pillow, toiletries and a towel. And don’t forget clothes for the tubing experience in the mountains on Saturday. Just as a reminder, this option is for students only! No parents allowed.
Room block: Regis has secured a special rate for Basecamp attendees at the Hilton Garden Inn Arvada in the Olde Town Arvada area. Click here to reserve your room for the first weekend, and here to reserve a room for the second weekend. A complimentary shuttle will be provided to take students from campus to the hotel on Friday night and pick-up on Saturday morning for the tubing excursion. Parents, feel free to utilize this discounted rate if your student is staying overnight on campus.
Interested in staying elsewhere? Feel free to sleep in your own bed at home or make your own hotel reservations!
What should I bring?
Friday- Dress comfortably! You’ll be walking around campus, meeting new friends, and participating in some fun activities!
Friday Night- If you’re staying overnight on campus it’s helpful to bring a sleeping bag, sleeping pad (if you have one), pillow, and toiletries and a towel, if you plan on showering.
Saturday- Warm and comfortable clothing is encouraged! It’s an early morning and will most likely be pretty chilly to cold on the tubing hill. We suggest anything from jeans to warm leggings/sweatpants to snow pants. Gloves, a warm winter jacket, boots or sneakers and a hat are also encouraged.
What should I wear?
Colorado weather is beautiful! And seasonal. We suggest being comfortable and wearing layers on Friday. For the tubing experience in the mountains you can wear anything from jeans or leggings to snow pants. We highly recommend gloves, a warm winter jacket, boots or sneakers, and a hat!
